Owner of Coeur d’Alene Beauty Salon Goes Off on Trump Supporters, Makes National News

By • December 4, 2024

An Idaho salon business has gone viral on Libs of TikTok and made national news after she attacked President-elect Donald Trump supporters.

Voiage Beauty is a beauty salon in Coeur d’Alene. The company’s website has gone dark after comments from the owner, Tiffney Prickett, who made comments that Trump supporters will not likely appreciate.

In a video that has since been taken down after the owner likely removed the TikTok account associated with “@voiage_beauty,” Prickett discussed one of her client’s husbands coming into the shop to get a refund on gift cards they had purchased. Prickett does not name the client in the video but says they do not give refunds on gift cards, which is not an uncommon practice.

However, in the two-and-a-half-minute video that Libs of TikTok captured, Pricket says in part,

“…if you support a racist, homophobic, misogynist, rapist, and you’re okay with those things, because you supported them, that you are in fact those things…”

So, in the mind of Prickett, if you supported Trump during the 2024 election, you are a rapist? That’s quite the stance to take, and then go on social media and proclaim it for the entire country to hear.

The country has heard Prickett, who has made national news and is now facing massive backlash and boycott for her video on the company’s Facebook page.

In the video, Prickett says that the woman who had been her client was a client for 15 years. She says she knew the whole family were Trump supporters, having been to some of their family functions, and that she was willing to suffer the consequences for what she says is standing up for human rights.

In a state like Idaho, it seems like a huge gamble to alienate what is likely going to be more than half of your potential customer base because you do not like how they voted.

But Prickett seems unrepentant in the video, especially with her closing remark, which says,

“If the shoe f***ing fits, wear it with your whole foot, Cinderella.”

Prickett certainly has the right to her own opinions and business decisions. Conservatives, and maybe individuals who voted for Trump because they did not like the alternatives, also have the right to take their business elsewhere. Prickett seems to be okay with that arrangement.

  1. whoever buys msnbc can pick this place up too. they both come with ragging hacks. the media will need stories like this for a couple years while repubs do absolutely nothing for their voters

  2. She couldn’t have picked a worse city to pull a stunt like this. Hopefully the wealthy Californians who moved to Coeur d’Alene over the past few years can make up for all the conservative customers she’s going to lose.
