Newsroom Video: Idaho Dispatch is the 4th Branch of Government
By Sarah Clendenon • May 7, 2023Idaho Dispatch Owner Miste Karlfeldt discusses the importance of the media’s role in ensuring the American public is an informed citizenry, capable of governing itself.
The Founders were so adamant about the importance of the press, they specifically included it in the First Amendment of the US Constitution [emphasis added]:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

Journalism is supposed to be the fourth branch of government – an additional check on the other three branches.
The Idaho Dispatch strives to show all sides of every argument and issue. This is an open forum for information and debate. It is the responsibility of the news media to shine light on the dark places. Karlfeldt says in the video,
“Opposing ideas aren’t going anywhere – so why would we want to be in an echo chamber ignoring opposing ideas? Get on the battlefield of ideas! Have the debate!”

Just as important is the Second Amendment, for it has the teeth to protect the rest of our rights.
Spot on!
The MEDIA, the NARRATIVE and the AGENDA should be squarely in the hands of We The People.
Lets get that fixed. ASAP.
Thank you so much misty! I didn’t realize you had bought Idaho dispatch when Greg pruitt moved out of state. What would we do without you Standing up for truth and liberty in Idaho!
Greg moved to Eastern Idaho. He still heads up Idaho Second Amendment..
Let us all bash the Covid shot, trans movement, and baby murder via the pill.
Thank you for the kind encouragement, dear Cece.
