As Announced in State of the State Address, Governor Little to Send Idahoans to Texas

By • January 28, 2024

As stated weeks ago, Idaho Governor Brad Little will send Idaho state troopers to Texas in the coming weeks for the purpose of learning how to combat human trafficking.

One day after the Idaho Dispatch reported here on several state Governors pledging supplies and support to the state of Texas, Little released a public statement saying,

“President Biden and his Administration have left Americans and our country completely vulnerable to unprecedented illegal immigration pouring across the Southern border. Instead of upholding the rule of law and securing the border, the Biden Administration has attacked and sued Texas for stepping up to protect American citizens from historic levels of illegal immigrants, deadly drugs like fentanyl, and terrorists entering our country.

“We stand in solidarity with our fellow Governor, Greg Abbott, and the State of Texas in utilizing every tool and strategy, including razor wire fences, to secure the border. We do it in part because the Biden Administration is refusing to enforce immigration laws already on the books and is illegally allowing mass parole across America of migrants who entered our country illegally.

“The authors of the U.S. Constitution made clear that in times like this, states have a right of self-defense, under Article 4, Section 4 and Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution. Because the Biden Administration has abdicated its constitutional compact duties to the states, Texas has every legal justification to protect the sovereignty of our states and our nation.”

The next day, however, he released another statement explaining that his motivation was the same as it had been during his state of the state presentation given on January 8 to begin the 2024 legislative session.

“We will work even harder to address the open border and its impacts because of the failure of the Biden-Harris administration to admit it’s even a problem. Human trafficking is modern day slavery. The cartel and other bad actors are taking advantage of our open border to manipulate and abuse the most vulnerable, including children,” Governor Little said in his State of the State speech. “To help curb human trafficking, my IDAHO WORKS plan calls for sending two more teams of Idaho State Police troopers to train and act as a force multiplier at our lawless southern border, as we did with fentanyl twice before.”

Little’s focus on human trafficking training for Idaho state troopers remains, despite the other 24 state governors who support Texas focusing on the U.S. Supreme Court ruling last week which said Texas cannot protect itself from the influx of illegal immigrants crossing the U.S./Mexico border.

“They will come back to Idaho with better knowledge to stop these perpetrators in our state and, as they did before, our troopers will debrief and train their law enforcement colleagues around the state when they return,” Governor Little said.”

The second press release went on to say the Idaho troopers will be sent sometime in the coming weeks.

The contents of the press releases and additional information from the Governor’s office can be found here.

  1. Do Little Too Little, the leftist RINO Progressive, actually showing a tiny spine… whoddathunk.

  2. Honestly, I’m surprised that he publically came out in support of Texas (though he did wait until umpteen other states did so). Sitting quietly in the back row, hoping to not be noticed is more his style.

His Deep State corporate pals can’t be happy about it.

    1. It’s more like watching which way the band is marching, then jumping in front to appear to be leading the band. Can we please be done with this RINO?

  3. The big question is “How many illegals are in our state and where are they living, working and getting their medical care?????

  4. What’s needed to slow down or stop the drugs n’ human trafficking, is send down some Idaho Nat’ Guard to TX to help the Texans close down the border and give some physical support , that’s what’s needed manpower or whatever the woke term is

    1. Want to stop the illegal drug flow into America? Americans need to stop using ILLEGAL Drugs!! Problem solved.

  5. Sad to say, but I am actually surprised that Chicken-little came out in (tepid) support of Texas. He should have been the first and the loudest. It’s a shame that such a strong, conservative state like Idaho has such a mealy-mouthed leader (?). Sure wished that Sarah Huckabee Sanders lived here.

  6. National Security is being destroyed with fighting aged Chinese Nationals pouring across our border with terrorists from every hostile nation coming in with them and he’s worrried about human trafficking and sending 2 “teams” down there so they can learn something? We don’t have experts here doing this already being so close to the Canadian border? Good to know how “on the ball” he is about terrorism!

  7. I’d like to know what he’s going to do about the Illegals that have been flooding into Idaho and most recently. I’m not talking about refugees. The schools are enrolling ample amount of non English speaking children, wearing pocktalk devices to communicate with their teachers. They’re being funded by an organization. I want an investigation into who’s bringing them here, funding them and utilizing our resources.

    1. I live way up in the mountains and in the middle of a blizzard a Jeep went off the road. There were at least 8 guys out there trying to get the Jeep out of the ditch and not one of them spoke English. Not one.

  8. not in 21. not in 22. not in 23. in 2024. theyre all in on it, just like 2 tier justice and no accountability for insiders and bureaucrats

  9. Glad to see Little is getting frisky and proactive. Now that he’s feeling patriotic, how many state troopers will he send to bust up the next IACA meeting?

  10. When the law enforcement institutions in Idaho arrest Laura Silsby for human trafficking, then I’ll know that they are serious about cracking down on human trafficking.

  11. This is a show. It appears they have let everyone in already so now they come to the rescue to appear to support it. Nothing heroic or honorable comes from Little

  12. Also, state troopers were the force behind the arrests at the special session. They are all goons.
