Boise, ID – Governor Brad Little and First Lady Teresa Little invite all Idahoans to celebrate the holiday season at the Idaho Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting on Thursday, November 30.

The free celebration will begin at 5:30 p.m. and includes entertainment and remarks from the Governor and First Lady before the official tree lighting at approximately 6:45 p.m.

The event will be broadcast live on Magic 97.9, and Mike Kasper with KBOI Radio will serve as master of ceremonies. Holiday music will begin playing at the Capitol at 5:30 p.m. as guests arrive and enjoy complimentary cookies and hot cocoa while supplies last.

Santa Claus and his elf will provide candy canes and bookmarks to attendees and be available for photos.

The tree lighting ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. with the Governor, First Lady, and Idaho’s constitutional officers, and music by the Andrus Ambassadors Honor Choir from Meridian’s Cecil D. Andrus Elementary School and students from Meridian’s Idaho Fine Arts Academy’s vocal major program.

Guests are invited into the Capitol after the Christmas tree lighting until the festivities end at 7:30 p.m. Opera Idaho performers will provide entertainment for Capitol visitors following the ceremony.

Guests are also encouraged to visit the Governor’s Ceremonial Office and the Capitol Gift Shop, where Idaho’s 2023 State Christmas ornament and other items crafted by Idaho artists will be available.

This event is only possible thanks to our sponsors: Walmart, Cumulus Media, and The Bridge.

Additionally, we would like to thank the Idaho Department of Administration, Idaho Department of Lands, Idaho Transportation Department, Apex Crane, Production Services International Inc., and the Boise Police Department for their assistance in making the celebration possible.

  1. WARNING: Apparently Brad Little, the IACI puppet and from the good old boy school of lock down governing, is considering a third term to continue being a mediocre at best Governor.

Probably because the good old boys have finally figured out that Despot Bekde does not stand a chance.

SOLUTION: It’s time to start rallying behind, encouraging and supporting Raul Labrador to run and win the election for Governor.

    1. Now there is a name and an individual that I would throw my personal support behind…absolutely. While I haven’t necessarily agreed with 100% of every decision he’s made since in his position, the overwhelming majority of them I have, no question.

Integrity in the governor’s office in Idaho…it’s what is needed. Mr. Labrador would, I believe, provide that. Labrador for governor of Idaho…!!!
