Press Release: Attorney General Labrador Delivers Remarks After Oral Arguments at SCOTUS

By • April 28, 2024

The following press release was sent out by the Office of Attorney General Raúl Labrador. Press releases do not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of those at the Idaho Dispatch.

[WASHINGTON] – Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador delivered remarks in front of the U.S. Supreme Court earlier today following oral arguments in State of Idaho v. United States, one of the first abortion cases to be heard by SCOTUS since the overturn of Roe v. Wade in 2022.

“I’m very pleased with the arguments made today in defense of Idaho’s law,” said Attorney General Labrador. “Idaho’s Defense of Life Act is perfectly consistent with the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act, which provides explicit protections for ‘unborn children’ in four separate places. But the Biden Administration is trying to use one life-affirming law to invalidate another. The administration’s radical interpretation of federal law is nothing more than a reckless disregard for Idaho’s right to protect life. We are asking the Supreme Court to end the administration’s unlawful overreach and to respect the people of Idaho’s decision to safeguard the lives of women and their unborn children.”

  1. Pray that the killing of children in their mother’s wombs will once again be recognized as murder. No society that kills its own children can long survive,

  2. Good job AG Labrador. It’s better to stand for what’s right and to lose (though I hope you win), than to join the growing uniparty and stand for what is an abomination in the eyes of God (Jesus Christ).

Mothers who murder their own children with a so called abortion, and those who support the vile practice are surely an abomination to the Lord.

    Proverbs 15:9
The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness
    King James Version (KJV)

May God help the citizens of our once great nation to repent and be born again (John 3:3).

    John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
    King James Version (KJV)
