Op-Ed: Will America Survive Another Two Years?By Jim Hollingsworth • May 25, 2023
Many have said they hope someone with an America First Policy, like President Trump, will be elected in 2024 and we will be able to reverse this madness. But the question has to be asked if we will even survive the next two years.
As soon as Biden was elected, he signed a stack of executive orders to reverse the successful policies of the Trump Administration. That should have been a clue that we were in for serious trouble, but it seems that Americans always hope for something better.
Books have been written about what the Biden Administration is doing to destroy us as a country. Here are just a few of the things he has done that are working against us as a nation.
First off, he rejoined the Paris Agreement, signed by 196 parties on December 12, 2015 and in force on November 4, 2016. President Trump withdrew from the agreement (or Paris accord) on June 1, 2017, believing it was not in the best interest of our country. This accord benefits many third-world nations at a huge cost to the United States. Biden rejoined this agreement on January 20, 2021, his first day in office.
He appointed Vice President Kamala Harris as border czar and almost immediately she went to Central America to try and convince them not to let their people come. She has never seen the huge numbers of people who are illegally daily crossing the southern border. In fact, the Biden Administration insists there is no border problem and that the border is secure, when the truth is that several thousand are crossing daily.
These are not all just natives seeking a better life. That is true for some, but many are gang members set on evil, and enough drugs have been collected to kill every American many times over. Think about the amount that they did not find.
Right from the start Biden has tried to eliminate our use of fossil fuels. They seem to have no understanding that the use of fossil fuels has made this nation the leader of the world. Nor do they seem to understand that natural gas (methane) is used to make fertilizer. Without this fertilizer many in the world will simply starve.
Not only that, someone has documented that there are over 6,000 things that are made from petroleum alone, and this includes a lot of things we use daily. A partial list is vinyl fences and siding, carpeting, pavement, roofing, plastic food containers, electrical wire insulation. The present administration just appears to have no clue about these things. The fact is that the elimination of fossil fuels would be the biggest disaster ever.
To help in his campaign to eliminate fossil fuels President Biden cancelled the construction of the Keystone XL Oil Pipeline, even though there were existing contracts to finish the line. And, he stopped all drilling on government land and offshore. In recent months he has approved a few projects, but the damage has been done.
He has promoted wind and solar as viable alternatives to fossil fuels. This is folly, since there are long periods when the wind does not blow, and of course, the sun does not shine at night. Right now, when they produce little or no power the difference is made up by coal or gas-fired generators. What will happen when these are illegal? These machines (wind and solar) only last a few years and must be replaced, and most of the materials used come from China and other places that are not very friendly to the United States.
Then he is pushing for more electric vehicles. I am sure they are fine for short trips to the store or office, but for longer trips they are very impractical. Now we are told not to plug them in during certain hours as there is not enough power to support them. We are at about 3% right now: What will happen if we ever get to 100% electric vehicles? Plus, at $60,000 plus each, most people would never be able to afford them, and when the batteries wear out in a few short years the cost of the battery will cost more than the value of the car, so they will be almost worthless.
Now he is proposing electric trucks. This has to be pure madness. How large a battery will it take to get one of these trucks across the country? The battery would take up so much room that there would be little space for merchandise.
Last year each one of us got a “gift” of $1,400.00. That seemed great at the time. Then it became clear that this was all money printed by the government, which is pure inflation. It was no surprise to any thinking person that prices have gone up dramatically, especially for things like gasoline, which were affected not only by inflation, but also by the energy policies of the Administration.
Biden has made it clear that he wants to pack the Supreme Court to overcome the work of those appointed by President Trump, and there has even been a call to impeach certain ones on the bench. Biden wants to add Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico as two new states, believing that they will vote heavily Democrat. Hopefully some Democrats will see the wisdom of not doing this.
Now we are told that in July the government will switch from cash, dollars and coins, to a digital monetary system. We have been hearing about this for over a year, but maybe it is true. This would be a serious move for the country. It would give the government the power to control all our personal spending. Plus the fact that many people do not even use credit cards, but pay cash for everything. Congress seems to have taken no interest in stopping this terrible policy. It is very hard to be sure of the truth of this matter, which seems so crazy.
Biden has devalued our military in a number of ways. He had a disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, leaving many billions of equipment behind, then his strong transgender policies are discouraging many from staying in the military or joining, and helping the proxy war in Ukraine with about 75 billion, while leaving our own border unprotected, for “as long as it takes” is not in the best interest of our own country.
Interest on the federal debt will soon be the biggest item in the federal budget, and the Administration seems to have no interest in reducing spending to balance the budget or pay down any of the debt. The debt went to one trillion under President Reagan; now it is close to 31.4 trillion.
The president is obviously not in charge of the country, but even plans to run again. He is determined to destroy America, and most of the Democrats seem inclined to let him. How can they be so blind? We have a wonderful free country. How can anyone allow it to be destroyed so easily.

Our politicians, government employeed and the military are the enemy that has bankrupted this nation. Redistributed your income to foreign nations, corrupt corporations , special interests and the most waste of tax dollars the military and the welfare parasite classes.. No Russia, China , Iran or North Korea did not do that to us.
