Mix 106 Toy Drive Going Until Monday in Meridian
By Greg Pruett • December 10, 2020A local radio station (Mix 106) in the Treasure Valley is nearing the end of its “Toy Drive” and they are asking your help to continue their efforts to fill up two 53-foot semi-trucks.
The toy drive will go for 12 days and started on December 3rd.
Idaho Dispatch stopped by yesterday to check out the progress they had made. We spoke with Moug from the Moug and Carly show who said they are still seeking unused toys, bikes, and gift cards to help kids in need this Christmas.
Moug said at the time that their first trailer was 3/4 full and they were working to finish filling that trailer so they could begin filling the second trailer. The trailers are located at The Village at Meridian right next to Eagle Road in Meridian.
The toy drive will officially end at 10:00 a.m. on Monday the 14th for those who wish to donate.

Moug has been broadcasting from a scissor lift each day to help their efforts move forward. Moug also told Idaho Dispatch that he stays on location throughout the evening.

We’ve officially kicked off the 12 Days Of ChristMIX Toy Drive at The Village at Meridian! Here till Monday the 14th at 10 am.
It has officially kicked off as of Thursday morning and we’re going for twelve days collecting toys (we have a 53 foot truck to fill), collecting bikes (our first goal is 50 and then we’ll reassess) and $500 in cash and gift cards. We’re working with the Boise Rescue Mission, The Ronald McDonald House Charities, The Idaho Office for Refugees and the Women’s and Children’s alliance to make sure that no child in the Treasure Valley goes without a Christmas.

We’ll be here until the 14th at 10 am so feel free to pop by any time to say hi, drop off a toy, or even honk as you pass! It’s only Day One of Twelve so we’ve got a long way to go but we’re up and running and ready for you to come by! I’ll be staying here on site, living in a semi truck for the duration of this event.
