Currently, three Republicans have filed to run for Lieutenant Governor of Idaho.
Former State Representative Luke Malek was the first candidate to file for the Lt. Governor’s race. Now, Rep. Priscilla Giddings (R-White Bird) and House Speaker Scott Bedke (R-Oakley) have filed to run after current Lt. Governor Janice McGeachin announced she was running for Governor of Idaho.
Now, a Boise attorney has filed to run for Lt. Governor for the Democrat Party.
Terri Pickens Manweiler filed her paperwork with the Secretary of State’s office on September 21. Manweiler is the only Democrat listed as running in the Lt. Governor’s race at this time.
On Manweiler’s website, this is what she lists for the media as her biography:
Terri Pickens Manweiler is a fourth-generation Idahoan born and raised in Pocatello. She graduated from the University of Southern California and University of Idaho Law School and became the founding partner in Pickens Law, P.A in 2008, where she is still practicing today. Terri, her husband, Mark, and her two children currently reside in Boise.Advertisement
Idaho Dispatch will reach out to Manweiler to try and interview her in the future.
