First Democrat Files for Lt. Governor’s Race

By • September 29, 2021

Currently, three Republicans have filed to run for Lieutenant Governor of Idaho.

Former State Representative Luke Malek was the first candidate to file for the Lt. Governor’s race. Now, Rep. Priscilla Giddings (R-White Bird) and House Speaker Scott Bedke (R-Oakley) have filed to run after current Lt. Governor Janice McGeachin announced she was running for Governor of Idaho.

Now, a Boise attorney has filed to run for Lt. Governor for the Democrat Party.

Terri Pickens Manweiler filed her paperwork with the Secretary of State’s office on September 21. Manweiler is the only Democrat listed as running in the Lt. Governor’s race at this time.

On Manweiler’s website, this is what she lists for the media as her biography:

Terri Pickens Manweiler is a fourth-generation Idahoan born and raised in Pocatello. She graduated from the University of Southern California and University of Idaho Law School and became the founding partner in Pickens Law, P.A in 2008, where she is still practicing today. Terri, her husband, Mark, and her two children currently reside in Boise.

Idaho Dispatch will reach out to Manweiler to try and interview her in the future.

  1. Scott Bedke is a sleeze bag, bought and paid for by Big Pharma. I’d vote for someone who is a dem and says they’re a dem over a dem who says he is a Republican. I hope Priscilla Giddings wins out over the Rino and the Dem.

  2. Rep. Priscilla Giddings is one of the Idaho leaders in the fight against communism, vax/mask mandates and has my vote. She is also a defender of 2A rights. Yet the guy above me wants to vote for a communist.

  3. The last thing Idaho needs is another dammed liberal.
Idaho’s Republican and Democratic Parties are chock full of these ne’er-do-wells.
