2022 Idaho Statewide Candidates for Office as of 10/11/2021 – Primaries Only

By • October 11, 2021

The primary elections are less than one year away, and candidates are already announcing they are running for office in Idaho.

With at least two open races already, several statewide offices are expected to have multiple candidates. Please note that this list will NOT include Congressional races. Idaho Dispatch will have a separate article for Congressional candidates.

The following list is of all candidates from any party who will be running in the primary election next year. Unaffiliated and Independent candidates will NOT be listed here because those candidates only run in the general election. Candidates will also not be listed if they do not yet have a primary opponent.

Candidates will be listed alphabetically by last name and by their political party until primaries are completed. Then, their websites and social media sites will be posted. An incumbent, if applicable, will also be noted as such. Some candidates have officially announced, while others have simply filed a C1 which allows a candidate to raise money for a potential campaign.

Note: Advertising is a part of all Idaho Dispatch articles. Ads appearing in this article do NOT denote an endorsement of any candidate. The ads are placed based on the number of paragraphs in the article.

If you notice that your candidate has information available that we do not have, please send the information to info@idahodispatch.com. Social media sites are pulled from a candidate’s website.

  1. We look forward to Idaho Dispatch’s unbiased reporting in order to know how each candidate intends to protect the Citizens of Idahos individual, constitutional rights.

  2. Please interview the candidates or send them questionnaires with questions about all the major issues, especially vaccine/mask mandates and other authoritarian measures. Please ask them to list their track record on each issues with references that we can check to verify they have done what they said they would. Past performance is the most reliable predictor of future performance (basic human resources principle when evaluating candidates for jobs). Thanks!

    1. We have been interviewing candidates and are working on more. If you look at the bottom of the names of some of the candidates (Bundy, McGeachin, Humphreys, Durst) you will see a link to the interviews we have done with them so far. We are trying to get to as many as we can! Thank you. – Greg

  3. Thanks for the article. As “New Idahoan” states…having a single document that identifies the candidates and where each of them stand on prominent issues affecting Idaho citizens and what legislation they would pursue/support to make our lives better would provide prospective voters with the specific comparison data they need to make choices in the voting booth. Thanks.

  4. I believe that this election for a Republican state of Idaho which we have to maintain our conservative values that do not match up with liberal Democrats in our beautiful state here this is very crucial election a lot of research is going to be required I think on our part and understanding of what each one of these candidates stand for who they are and what they are willing and going to do for our beautiful state of Idaho we need to get back to our core values here no masks no vaccines complete second amendment rights freedom to live the constitution. All the values that we’ve enjoyed and the freedoms in our state need to continue and not under Brad little who has given us up to the liberal Democratics. I am generationally from this state some of my ancestors have been here since 1800. I want our freedom back! These last four years under Governor little I’ve seen so much stripped away from us we need a governor who is not afraid to stand up against this Democratic presidency that is a sham stand up for us the people of Idaho not money not political gains not anything other than what we want which is freedom, second amendment rights no Mask mandates, no vaccines mandates the freedom to choose for our selves. I am only anti freedom to choose . And I agree that it would be good for you Greg or someone from Idaho dispatch, to interview each candidate. I personally trust you Greg

  5. Please don’t let your local races get lost in all the noise surrounding the Big Sexy state elections. County and Municipal elections produce changes in our lives much faster than any state election can. Just look at local school boards for an example. These elections typically take place in off-years when people pay less attention and voter turnout is lower making it easier for radical liberals to slip into important local positions. PLEASE pay attention to your local elections and the candidates that are running. Your lack of interest allows changes to take place that can harm your community and take years to unwind.

Always vote for Liberty and Freedom
