Will BSU Women’s Volleyball Team Forfeit Again Against San Jose Team with Man on It?
By Greg Pruett • November 27, 2024The Boise State University Broncos women’s volleyball team may face another decision on whether to forfeit against the San Jose Spartans women’s volleyball team, which has a man on its roster.
BSU forfeited two matches against the Spartans during the regular season, one of five schools that refused to play a man on a women’s team.
Today, in the Mountain West Conference tournament, BSU faces the Utah State Aggies, one of the other schools that forfeited against the Spartans. The winner of today’s match will play the Spartans on Friday in the semi-final.
A lot is on the line as the winner of the MWC tournament gets an automatic invite to the NCAA tournament, the organization that should have put an end to men playing in women’s college sports. However, no action has been taken by the NCAA to stop the madness that puts women in harm’s way and displaces women who could be on the team.
An appeals court also opined yesterday that the Spartans would be allowed to participate in the MWC tournament.
Women are beginning to stand up for themselves, including some Spartan players. Brooke Slusser told Outkick last month,
“Basically, ‘You shouldn’t be the person to identify Blaire’s gender identity. That’s something that Blaire needs to do, and not you. That’s not your story to tell.’ But we all have a story, too. This isn’t just something that Blaire’s going through. This is something that I’m going through, too, and my teammates. I have so many emotions and questions, and I don’t know how to voice them.”
It’s brave women on these teams and players on teams with men, like Slusser, who will hopefully end this madness.
With much on the line, will BSU or USU stand firm and refuse to play the Spartans? The teams face each other today at 5:00 p.m. MT.
Chris Kutz told the New York Post that the university will not comment on potential matchups.

I know it hurts both women’s teams but I’d say no to playing against a trans. It will be a hollow win if no one will play against the man who feels he’s a woman. At some point this madness needs to end. Women need to stand up against these “woke” misguided agenda. Give trans their own teams.
