Reactions to Trump’s 2nd Would Be Assasin by Idaho Elected Officials and More
By Greg Pruett • September 16, 2024An alleged assassin of former President Donald Trump was stopped by the Secret Service today.
Trump told the public he was fine and unharmed from the incident. Trump was on his golf course in Palm Beach when gunshots were heard. It is not clear at this time how many shots were fired and if the suspect, identified as Ryan Wesley Routh, fired any shots.
Secret Service said during a press conference that the individual who had an “AK-47-style rifle” fled the scene, and a witness spotted the suspect getting into a vehicle. The suspect gave police a description of the car and the license plate numbers.
Police tracked down the suspect and apprehended him.
Here are some reactions to the assassination attempt by Idaho and national elected officials.

THE JOB DONE WAS ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING. I AM VERY PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!” (Source)
