Washington, D.C. – Idaho Congressman Mike Simpson today announced his cosponsorship of H.R. 1011, the Life at Conception Act.
“In light of the recent nationwide debates on abortion, I remain fervently committed to protecting the rights of the unborn. I have held this position in this and every Congress, and I am pleased to reaffirm this priority through cosponsoring this bill,” said Simpson.
H.R. 1011 is led by Rep. Alexander Mooney (R-WV) and would extend the right of life guaranteed in the 14th Amendment to each person in all stages of life, including the unborn.
“Each life, regardless of its age or stage, is precious and deserves equal protection under the law,” continued Simpson. “I will always stand up for those who have no voice, no matter how amplified the debate on this issue becomes.”

Wonder if he’s aware that the Primary is over?
There is hope of getting him out in November !
This is the first time he has publicly taken this position. If he has “held this position In this and every Congress,” he was silent about it. God bless you Mike, for co-sponsoring. When sperm meets egg, a new person is on earth.
Remember is wants to take down the dams and has been instrumental in passing LGBTQ bills. Bryan Smith has the details. This guy is NOT good for Idaho. I would have a conversation with Bryan if you are going to vote for him.
His opponent is not for abortion either.
He must think he may still loose in November….
Exactly ! Praying he does.
The Life at Conception bill has been around for years looking for more cosponsors. Maybe now that Roe v. Wade is likely to be overturned by the Supreme Court, it is safe for a RINO to cosponsor it to gain support for himself. Thanks for your timely leadership, Simpson. Idaho is overwhelmingly pro-life.
This may signal that Simpson is vulnerable to a future challenge. If Freedom candidates can get their stuff together and pick ONE good candidate to defeat Simpson AND any RINO spoilers….it could work. This also tells us that this issue has great clout here in Idaho.
Apposed tax hikes. If money has to go somewhere it should go toward school choice. Which will Create competition and ultimately improve the school system.
Protect the unborn. Let’s follow the Golden Rule treat others how you want to be treated. What if it was you in the womb?
