Lawsuit Against Former Rep. Chad Christensen Dismissed ‘With Prejudice’
By Greg Pruett • February 24, 2025A lawsuit against former Idaho State Representative Chad Christensen has been dismissed “with prejudice,” according to an image of the order posted by Christensen on Facebook.
Five individuals had sued Christensen after he blocked them on Facebook.
The case was dismissed on December 6, 2024. However, Christensen said the AG’s office had forgotten to give him the order of dismissal.
Gregory Graf, Marguerite Shaw, Suellen Carman, Steven Thyberg, and Carolyn Dessin were the five individuals who sued Christensen.
The order states in full,
“The matter having come before this Court pursuant to the Parties’ Stipulation to Dismiss pursuant to Rule 41(a)(1)(A)(ii) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (Dkt. 31), and good cause appearing:
AdvertisementIt is hereby ORDERED that this case is DISMISSED with PREJUDICE, each party to bear their own attorney fees and costs. This case file is CLOSED.”
The order is signed by Chief U.S. District Court Judge David Nye.
Christensen posted on his Facebook page,
“Thank goodness this pathetic lawsuit is over. I was waiting for the order of dismissal. I asked the deputy AG today and he had forgotten to forward it to me.
This case was dismissed 2 months ago with prejudice. This was the Fabulous Five’s lawsuit against me for kicking them off my Facebook political page. It is dismissed with prejudice; so, they cannot re-file their pathetic lawsuit. Bye clowns, now go find a life.”
Graf previously told Idaho Dispatch that he would never respond to requests for comment from our news organization. We did not reach out to him for this story because of that previous statement.
Idaho Dispatch is attempting to contact the other four parties to request comment. If they respond, we will post their statements in this article.
Disclosure Note: Idaho Dispatch is still waiting on the result of an L5 campaign finance complaint with the Idaho Secretary of State’s office regarding allegations Graf may have violated campaign finance law. Additionally, Graf sued me personally several years ago, and that lawsuit was eventually dismissed.

Gee, do you think that Eastern Idaho will settle down for a while. North Idaho seems to be entering the race for front page news lately.
