By • December 4, 2024

According to several sources inside the capitol, Rep. Mike Moyle (R-Star) has been re-elected as Speaker of the House by his fellow Idaho Republican House members.

Moyle will serve his second term as Speaker.

Other leadership positions in the Idaho House for the Republican side are:

Rep. Jason Monks (R-Meridian) – Majority Leader
Rep. Josh Tanner (R-Eagle) – Assistant Majority Leader
Rep. Jaron Crane (R-Nampa) – Caucus Chair

Tanner and Crane will both be serving their first terms in leadership roles. Crane is the brother of another long-time Idaho lawmaker, Rep. Brent Crane (R-Nampa).

Committee assignments, such as chairmanships and vice chairmanships, will be announced later this week.

The Idaho legislative session begins in January.
