Bomb Threat Cleared at Idaho Capitol Building

By • August 15, 2024

A bomb threat has been cleared at the Idaho Capitol Building.

Several Idaho Dispatch readers contacted us about a Facebook post from “Treasure Valley Police Scanner” that indicated an “emergency at the Capitol building.” The post says that by 6:30, there were “no suspicious persons or packages.”

Idaho Dispatch contacted Idaho State Police Lieutenant Mike Kish (Capitol Protective Services) who told Idaho Dispatch,

“It was in response to an email many Capitols got of a bomb threat. We cleared the building and found nothing.

It was clear by about 6:30 and before any state employees came to work.”

Idaho Dispatch will update this article if there is additional information provided.
