Reminder: Idaho Dispatch does NOT endorse candidates.
By Greg Pruett • April 27, 2022As a reminder to our readers, the Idaho DIspatch does NOT endorse candidates for public office.
When we started the Idaho Dispatch, we promised that we would do everything that we could not to put our personal bias in our news articles. So, while Op-Eds and Press Releases by various individuals and organizations contain bias, we do everything possible to ensure news articles do not.
We want to ensure that Idaho Dispatch remains as neutral as possible during the election season.
Many Idaho media outlets will make political endorsements during the primary and general elections. We feel this is the wrong approach for a news outlet and that endorsements are not a good idea coming from what should be unbiased sources.
We feel this is the best way for Idahoans to get unbiased news without a news outlet giving you their endorsements, suggesting potential bias in articles.
Idaho Dispatch makes every effort to cover candidates fairly, including doing everything we can to interview candidates from any political party or those candidates who are not affiliated with a party. We also do everything we can to interview a candidate no matter what chance someone thinks that person has of winning.
Idaho Dispatch feels that it is not our job to tell the public which candidates they should consider.
While members of Idaho Dispatch may give their endorsements of candidates, we will not have them on our site.
Thank you for your time and your support of the Idaho Dispatch!
Sincerely,
Greg Pruett

It would be silly for you to make endorsements when you are accepting advertising for the candidates
