Law Enforcement Has Been Notified, and Idaho Dispatch is Looking into Potential Legal Action

January 25, 2022

Boise, Idaho – Recently, Idaho Dispatch has been made aware of an individual who is sending packages to Idaho lawmakers as well as at least one Idaho media outlet containing several emails as well as a “book.”

Contained in the packages is an email that purports to be written by Idaho Dispatch Editor Greg Pruett.

However, Mr. Pruett says that one of the emails contained in the packages is not from him and was fabricated by the individual who sent the package. Mr. Pruett went on to explain,

“In May 2020, an individual claiming to be the anti-Christ sent several lawmakers a strange letter which had a return label in New York. The address on the envelope was the address for the original Book of Mormon printing press. I wrote a story about the letters but had no way of contacting the individual who sent them.

Several months after I wrote the story, an individual emailed me, claiming to be the one who sent the letters, and asked if I had any questions for him. I only replied with one email containing several questions. That was the only response I sent to him, and he responded to me one time after as well. That was the extent of our communication.”

Mr. Pruett went on to say that another email contained in the package was fabricated. The package also included something called “The Book of Aaron.”

Law enforcement officials have been contacted an official report has been filed with the Idaho State Police. Mr. Pruett said he wanted to ensure that law enforcement was aware of the issue just in case the individual sends any threatening words or material to lawmakers in the future and claims it is from him.

Idaho Dispatch is also looking into any potential legal means available in response to the fake material being sent.

  1. Sharing the truth (and light) can be a challenging job, especially in this upside down world. I pray for peace and safety for the lawmakers, and for you and your ID staff. Thank you for what you do. Continue to inform us with unbiased, important and informative Idaho news. And, consider this: 2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.

  2. It is exceedingly important that miscues by unknown persons sending nefarious email or packages from reputable media because Idaho Dispatch and the Idaho Freedom Foundation are only two reliable news sources for Christian Constitutional Conservatives..

  3. Wise that you filed the report. So many enemies of the Republic. Little known secret, the media has spread lies and misinformation since the beginning of this country. They dealt with this in Washington’s day also, nothing new under the sun. Keep up the good fight of faith.
