Interview with ‘Tik Tok Cop’ Nate Silvester
By Greg Pruett • August 9, 2021Idaho Dispatch had a chance to sit down with Nate Silvester, known as the ‘Tik Tok Cop” after he mocked Lebron James in a viral video after a shooting in Ohio.
Silvester has since been fired from his job as a deputy. He was serving as a deputy with the Bellevue Marshall’s office.
During the Idaho Dispatch interview with Silvester, he said that he was let go as a result of his social media post. Bellevue Mayor Ned Burns said that it was not Silvester’s online posts but for repeated violations of city and state policing policies. The statement Burns put out at the time did not specify what violations had occurred.
Silvester was a guest speaker at the recent Bonneville Republican Party Lincoln Day event in Idaho Falls. James O’Keefe from Project Veritas was the keynote speaker for the event with Silvester speaking first.
