Idaho Democrat Party Delegates Pledge All Delegates to Kamala Harris
By Greg Pruett • August 23, 2024Idaho Democratic Party delegates have pledged all 27 party delegates to Democratic presidential candidate and current Vice President Kamala Harris.
Harris accepted the nomination last night on the final day of the convention. Idaho’s delegates were pledged to her on Tuesday.
The Idaho Democratic Party posted on its X account after they pledged their delegates to Harris saying,
“The second night of the Democratic National Convention was electric. Idaho Democrats ceremoniously cast 27 ballots for Kamala Harris. Everyday Americans and leaders like President Barack Obama shared how we’re fighting for the people, for our freedoms, and for our future.”
Rep. Lauren Necochea (D-Boise) delivered the roll call for Democrats. Necochea is also the Idaho Democratic Party Chairwoman. You can view video of her remarks here.
Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, will face former President Donald Trump and Ohio U.S. Senator J.D. Vance. Several other third-party and independent candidates are also in the presidential race.
