670 KBOI Hosting Toys for Tots Event through December 6th

670 KBOI is hosting an event at Sportsman’s Warehouse in Boise through December 6th to help with the Toys for Tots program.

Toys for Tots was founded in 1947 and is run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve.

The Toys for Tots program in the Treasure Valley is being sponsored by Idaho Central Credit Union, Treasure Valley Subaru, Allan Marsh Travel Centers, Harold’s Auto Body, and Franz Witte. The goal of the program is to encourage the community to donate unused toys to be given to kids in need at Christmas time.

Nate Shelman from 670 KBOI made a post on social media stating that the toys donated will stay here in Idaho.

Shelman also mentioned that they are trying to fill a semi-truck full of toys for the Toys for Tots program. That trailer is at the Sportsmans Warehouse during the remainder of the event.

Today the drop off time will be from 5:00 a.m. MST to 11:00 p.m. MST. On December 5th the event will go from the same time and then on December 6th the event will go from 5:00 a.m. MST to 5:00 p.m. MST.
