(Boise, ID) Phil McGrane, Republican candidate for Secretary of State in Idaho, announced today the endorsement from U.S. Senator Jim Risch for his candidacy to be Idaho’s next secretary of state. Risch joins a growing group of conservative leaders including Governors Otter, Kempthorne and Batt, along with former Secretary of State and Campaign Chairman Ben Ysursa.
Risch was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2008 and now serving in his third term. Before joining the U.S. Senate Risch served as Governor, Lt. Governor and State Senator.
“Having the support of Senator Risch means a lot for our campaign to be Idaho’s next Republican Secretary of State,” said McGrane. “I’ve admired Senator Risch’s leadership and his ability to get things done both as Governor and as a Senator.”
“Phil McGrane has the experience and conservative credentials that will make him an excellent Secretary of State,” said Risch. “McGrane is the best candidate to maintain the integrity of Idaho elections. He’s the one who has already been doing it. I hope my fellow Republicans will join Vicki and me in voting Phil McGrane for Secretary of State.
