On Friday March 11, 2022 at around 1pm leadership of the Constitution Party of Idaho received word that Doctor Ryan Cole planned to declare a run for Governor on our ballot line.  Leadership reached out to Doctor Cole, and he confirmed his intentions to do so.

Unfortunately, Doctor Cole was registered to vote as an independent at the time. He filed his declaration of candidacy before changing his voter registration, and did not file a declaration of party affiliation with his candidate declaration, which disqualified him from declaring as Constitution Party.

On March 17th Dr. Cole filed with the Secretary of State to be a Write-in candidate for Governor on the Constitution Party of Idaho ballot, triggering our first primary election since 2016.

CP Idaho thanks each of these candidates for stepping up to help make a difference.
