Labrador Backs DOJ’s Second Amendment Task Force, Joining Other States
By Greg Pruett • April 24, 2025Attorney General Raul Labrador is joining other states in supporting the Department of Justice’s Second Amendment Task Force.
What’s Happening: The DOJ has launched a task force that is supposed to investigate what anti-gun policies were put in place during the Biden administration. Additionally, the task force will look at states allegedly violating the right to keep and bear arms.
Labrador released a statement supporting the task force and said,
“The Second Amendment is not aspirational—it is a binding constitutional guarantee written by the Founders to secure individual liberty against government overreach. Idaho welcomes the formation of this Task Force and looks forward to partnering with the Trump Administration and Department of Justice to ensure that federal enforcement aligns with the Constitution. My office will always defend the rights of law-abiding citizens and opposing any effort to erode the Second Amendment.”
Digging Deeper: Gun control activists are upset about the task force and fear that Trump and some states are going to reverse some of their work. David Hogg and other gun control advocates are fearful that the next four years could upend the gun control movement.
Given Attorney General Pam Bondi’s previous anti-Second Amendment stances as the AG in Florida, it remains to be seen how serious her task force is.

Looks like the suppressors and other ATF cash cow “rules” will remain in place. Pam has not inspired many that she will actually do what she says she will. Maybe a few less Fox interviews and a little more work.
