Gov. Little Criticizes California Governor’s Gas-powered Security Fleet
By Greg Pruett • May 25, 2025Idaho Governor Brad Little (R) criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom over his gas-powered vehicles driven by his security details.
What’s Happening: Over the last few years, California has been implementing the strictest regulations in the country by requiring all vehicles sold in the state to be electric by 2035.
Newsom, who still has gas-powered vehicles in his security fleet, took to X to go after Newsom’s hypocrisy, stating,
“If Idaho Realtor of the Year Gavin Newsom is so concerned about gas-powered vehicles, why doesn’t he first start with banning them from his massive security detail’s fleet?
Republican governors are pushing back on the ban because we are all affected by CA’s onerous regulations.”
Digging Deeper: Little and other Republicans are urging Congress to block California’s radical-left regulations.
Many states are fighting California’s ban because, as California goes, regulators such as the EPA often implement California’s regulations on other states. Some Democratic lawmakers in other states have joined Republicans in supporting blocking California’s gas-powered vehicle ban.

Everything Newsom forces on the citizen of Ca he does the opposite he’s a liar and a fraud. The other states are some what lucky the only have to deal emission and green energy think of all the other crap Newsom and the dems come up for example city of sacramento is 44 million short on their budget so they are coming up with the bright idea to charge home owners to park in front of their own house you can’t make this crap up that’s all the democrats know how to spend spend and spend others money the money well is dry.
While I also fully disagree with nearly 100% of what California’s current governor does and says, I will not be deterred from reminding any who might listen that our own governor has yet to fulfill campaign promises he’s made.
Why haven’t you repealed the grocery sales tax yet, governor? The so-called grocery tax credit is, and was a joke and an insult to Idaho taxpayers right from the start. Don’t you think your time spent criticizing other state’s “leadership” actions would be better spent by taking a look in the mirror?
