
BSU Star RB Ashton Jeanty Poised for Top-10 Spot in NFL Draft Tonight
By Greg Pruett • April 24, 2025Boise State University Running Back Ashton Jeanty is projected to be a Top-10 pick in the NFL draft tonight.
What’s Happening: The annual NFL draft will be broadcast tonight at 6:00 p.m. MT on ESPN or ABC. If Jeanty is selected in the top ten, he would be the highest NFL draft pick from Boise State University and the highest ever from any Idaho university or college.
Ryan Clady (BSU) was drafted 12th overall by the Denver Broncos in 2008 and is the current highest ever player from an Idaho school. Mike Iupati (University of Idaho) was drafted 17th in 2010 and is the highest U of I player selected in the draft. The highest draft pick for Idaho State University was Mike Machurek, who the Detroit Lions took in the third round as the 71st pick.
Digging Deeper: Several teams are rumored to be considering Jeanty, the second-place finisher for the Heisman Trophy.
The Las Vegas Raiders, Chicago Bears, and Jacksonville Jaguars are among the teams rumored to be interested in Jeanty tonight.
